Deleted My Diary

Well I just deleted my diary that I had here. I had put what I been eating in but it was really confusing me. As it had a set goal for my calories and fats but I always went over and it would tell me I had more remaining. So got rid of it. Then I thought I would add a text gadget and do my own but ir didn't show up at the bottem. So guess I will just have to post it in my messages everyday.
I know I have been eating out of control and have devoured a lot of calories. Today was terrible . Just for breakfast alone I had over 1600 calories.And that does not make any sense. When I said I was going to do better and ask for the Lords help seems like things got worse. But I am not giving up, Sunday is a new day. It is the first of a new month too so I am going to weigh myself and see how much I have gained. As I know I have but I am not going to quit just make a brand new start.
Learning a lesson from children, when they are learning to walk they keep falling down but they never give up and finally they are not falling down or holding on to anything , but walking good . So if I keep on trying and not give up one day I will do this and lose the weight I need to.

One day Down

Well I have one day down where I met my goals. I drank the 64ozs of water and wrote what I ate down. I read a item in our newspaper today that has given me a stronger desire to lose weight. I can really relate now that losing weight would be much better for my health. So I will be praying and asking the Lord's help. As I already know I can't do it alone. I have not weighed or measured my food but planning on starting to do that and also do the points. When I find out how many points I am allowed.

Keeping a Food Diary

I have a food diary here on the blog so I filled it out tonight. I am going to keep track of what I eat everyday. That is going to be one of my daily goals. Another is to start drinking more water. I used to drink 64oz everyday but have just about stopped drinking water altogether. Been drinking diet pop a lot. And even though it is diet I still don't believe it helps your weight loss. So am going to cut back on the pop and drink water and kool aid with sweetner. I would say I am going to do some type of exercise but I think that will be too much for right now. Especially since I can't stand or walk very long. I have to do exercises where I can sit down. I did do the body flex plus but the band on my bar broke so I need to get another. This time I hope to get the cd instead of the vhs tape.It os a good exercise program which I definately can use as since I sit pretty much all the time I am spreading out . I have gained inches in my abs , waist, hips and thighs instead of losing them.
Anyway for this coming week I have got a plan. Starting out with baby steps again.
Keep a daily food diary and write down everything I eat.
Drink at least 48 ozs. of water daily.

Another New Day

Okay this is another new day. I have started a Christian Blog and used another name , NancyakaNan. I will be using that name mostly when I post here too. Besides as I said I don't feel sexy anymore anyway.
GG I want to thank you for your comment. It did pick me up and encouraged me. No excuses anymore. Just going to do my best and keep on keeping on, not giving up.
I was going to go to WW today but due to all this snow I didn't. If the roads get better I may go Saturday morning. If not I will rejoin as it will only be $10.00 but going now I will have to pay $30.00 cause I will have missed 3 weeks. UInless I just weigh myself here at home and go on and follow the momentem plan. Now that is a idea , then I can put the $10.00 cost of my meeting in a savings acount for a new warddrobe when I need it after losing weight.( smiles) Now that sounds good to me.
The first week of Feb. I will be posting our weights on the New Years challenge. So don't forget to leave a comment with your weigh in then.
I got to sit down and set up so goals and get them posted later on this evening or tomorrow. But right now I need to get off here and make a sandwich as I haven't ate all day except for some oats this morning. Then I am going to fix some cabbage, kelbaska turkey sausage and corn on the cob for dinner.

I Am Not Sexy

Well I am not getting sexier , in fact not even a little sexy now. I have been eating and just sitting around doing nothing. I had rejoined WW 3 weeks ago but didn't even bother to go back these last 2 weeks. Guess I have been depressed as I haven't been doing anything at all . Just sit in front of the TV and eat. But I am feeling a little better now so hope I can get myself back on track. I seen in the newspaper today where they gave phone numbers to call about O.A. and T.O.P.S. programs.I been thinking about checking them out. Maybe they will help give me some motivation as right now I really don't have any.
Sometime I think , what am I worrying about losing weight now at my age. I am 70 years old and I do enjoy eating and going out to eat is what I like to do . Health wise I have been in pretty good health as I don't take any meds for anything. Though I musy admit I can't walk far or stand long. My knees are permantly bent due to arthritis and hurt. Losing weight would take a lot of pressure off them. But I have gotten used to using the electric carts at the groceries and my scooter.
I really need to focus on what I want to do , continue eating what and when I want or try and lose some weight. But another thing I guess I am scared of is having wrinkles and saggung skin if I lose weight now.With my age my skin won't shrink and I can't tone up like the younger women.
So 2 things are holding me back , the love of food and fear.

I had a leg of lamb in the freezer and took it out to thaw Friday. WEll today my hubby took it to Krogers to get it sliced into chops and they wouldn't do it as I had had it so long. I went on and cooked it but don't know what I will do with all that m4eat as it is way too much just for us. Guess I will eat what I want of it for the next couple of days and then let my dogs have it. I have 4 rat terriors. I also made a apple cobbler as I have been craving sweets the last couple days. I hope I can get enough of the cobbler to satisfy my craving for awhile. I have a habit if there is anything sweet around the house of eating it till it is all gone. I need to find a Overeaters Annomous meeting as years ago they had a program that stopped your food cravings. BUt that was years ago so they probably don't do that anymore.

Well I got on the scale one day and it said I weighed 268. Then the next evening I weighed again to get my weight to post on a group I am in it said 269. I went with that as it was in the evening instead of morning when I weighed. And I figured that would be the best just in case. Anyway I have lost a couple pounds since I last weighed. I think it was 272 maybe . But whatever it was I am happy as I don't weigh as much as I did. I had been exercising but don't exercise on the week ends.
Monday I want to go to the womens fitness center but have other things I need to do so not sure I will get the chance.
